Let’s clear a few
things up.

Answers to common questions about the scope, planning, and practical details of a home project in DFW.

Planning your project

Is the initial consultation free?

Yes. Your initial consultation is free. Share your project ideas, property city, and ideal construction start window so we can explore the next step together.

Is deep cleaning included after remodeling?

Yes. Post-remodel deep cleaning covers the area where work took place. For projects involving more than one work area, it covers the whole home. The final walkthrough and follow-up help bring the remaining details together.

Do you build additions or new rooms outside the existing home?

RIQOL currently focuses on remodeling existing spaces. Home additions and new construction are not part of the current offering. We can explore a more useful layout within the home you already have, subject to assessment and the agreed scope.

What services do you offer?

Kitchen remodeling, bathroom remodeling, flooring, whole-home remodeling, and roofing. Painting and drywall can be included when needed in a larger remodeling project, but are not offered separately.

Which services can I combine in one plan?

Kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring can be coordinated as a whole-home remodeling scope. Roofing can also be considered when the property needs it. Every included service should be identified in the written scope.

How much does a remodel cost in DFW?

A reliable figure depends on room size, the existing condition, layout changes, material selections, access, and the exact work included. Compare detailed project scopes and allowances instead of treating a broad online price range as a quote.

Do you work throughout Dallas–Fort Worth?

The service-area directory covers 24 Metroplex cities. Confirm your exact address, requested service, and scheduling when arranging a consultation. A city listing does not represent a separate office.

What should I prepare before discussing my project?

Collect photographs, approximate dimensions, the property city, a short list of current problems, your priorities, and your desired project start. For roofing, include when the concern began and any safely taken photographs.

Do you offer paint or drywall services?

Painting and drywall can be included when needed as part of a larger remodeling project. They are not offered as standalone services. Confirm the included work in your project scope.

Are the photos on this website completed projects?

The current images are AI-generated architectural inspiration. They illustrate a design direction and are not presented as completed customer projects.

Are permits or HOA approvals always required?

Requirements depend on the property jurisdiction, the type of work, and any applicable association rules. Confirm the exact project with the relevant authority and document responsibility before construction.

Can you guarantee a completion date before seeing the property?

No. A meaningful schedule depends on the assessed scope, selections, material readiness, approvals, weather where relevant, and site conditions. Discuss milestones and potential dependencies during planning.

What happens if hidden damage is found?

The plan should identify how newly discovered conditions are documented, priced, and approved before additional work proceeds. Ask for that process to be explained before the project begins.

Kitchen remodeling

Can I keep my existing kitchen footprint?

Yes. A remodel can focus on cabinets, surfaces, storage, and flooring while retaining the broad layout. Feasibility depends on the condition of the room and the exact products selected.

Can the kitchen and flooring be planned together?

Yes. Coordinating floor height, cabinet installation method, appliance clearances, and transitions early is often more useful than treating the two projects separately.

How long will my kitchen be unavailable?

That depends on the scope, material readiness, inspections, and sequencing. Ask for the expected period without a working sink or cooking area, plus a plan for daily access, before work starts.

Bathroom remodeling

Can you remodel a bathroom without moving the plumbing?

Often the existing locations can be retained while updating the vanity, shower, tile, and flooring. The property assessment determines whether the existing arrangement and utilities support the proposed work.

Is grout enough to waterproof a shower?

No. The shower needs a suitable waterproofing or water-management assembly behind or beneath the tile. The correct details depend on the system chosen and its installation requirements.

Do you offer painting or drywall with a bathroom remodel?

Yes, when needed within the agreed bathroom remodeling scope. Painting and drywall are not sold as standalone services; confirm the surfaces and finish work included in your project.

Flooring installation

Which flooring is best for a busy household?

The best choice depends on the rooms, moisture exposure, pets, comfort preferences, maintenance, and budget. Compare specific tile, luxury vinyl, and wood products against those needs rather than relying only on the category name.

Can new flooring go over the existing floor?

Sometimes, but only if the substrate, height, condition, and selected product’s installation instructions allow it. An inspection is needed before assuming an overlay is appropriate.

Will all my floors be the same height?

The finished heights depend on the materials and preparation. Plan transitions between surfaces early, including door clearances and appliance openings.

Whole-home remodeling

Does whole-home remodeling include painting and drywall?

Yes. Painting and drywall can be included when needed as part of a larger remodeling project. The written scope will identify the work included. We do not sell painting or drywall as standalone services.

Can I stay in the home during the remodel?

It depends on access, utilities, the number of bathrooms, work areas, and the sequence. Discuss daily living needs before approving the plan; some scopes call for temporary alternative accommodation.

Can roofing and interior work be planned together?

Yes. Where the roof has an active problem, assessment and appropriate correction should be considered before investing in finishes that might be affected by continuing moisture.

Roofing

Does a roof leak always mean I need a new roof?

No. Some leaks come from localized defects that can be repaired. The condition of the surrounding roof, the cause of the leak, and the feasibility of a durable repair determine the recommendation.

Can you tell whether a roof has hail damage from photos?

Photographs may help identify areas to examine, but they do not replace an appropriate property inspection. Damage assessment should distinguish weather effects from wear, prior work, and other causes.

Do you guarantee insurance approval?

No. We can document observed roofing conditions and the proposed construction scope. Policy coverage and claim decisions are determined by the insurer.
